There are thousands of woman pilots out there; but not nearly enough. A rumor has it that only about 6% of all pilots are ladies. Be pro-active: tell your friends and invite them to join us to be a part of this proud organization.

The Paradise Coast Chapter 99s extends a planeload of thanks to all of the sponsors and supporters who have helped to fund the Wings Over Paradise Scholarship fund. Our chapter members have assembled the final package and will be posting flyers and distributing information throughout  Florida.  This year our scholarship consists of a monetary award of up to $2000 and a block of simulator time.

The simulator time is a generous donation from Jim Hendricks, owner of Naples Flight Simulator Center, LLC.  He will donate up to 10 hours of instructor and simulator flight time to the winner of this portion of the scholarship. The AST 300 simulator time can be used for additional ratings, including multiengine, or as an aid in preparing for an air carrier job interview.

Mr. Hendricks has 25,000 hours of flight time in a wide variety of aircraft from BE-18 through Citation jets.  Throughout his flying career, including air carrier, freight, and corporate transport, Jim has continued to instruct students for instrument and multiengine ratings through type ratings.  Ratings held by Jim include ATP, MEI, CFII, and A&P.

We will be accepting applications from now through the application deadline of January 31, 2013. Follow the links below for copies of the scholarship applications and eligibility requirements. Each scholarship has its own application form so be sure to complete the proper paperwork.  Please read the guidelines carefully and follow the instructions. You might have a winning application but failure to follow the instructions might disqualify you.

Thanks to all the applicants who took the time to apply for the 2013 scholarships.  There were more deserving applicants than scholarships available.
